About the manufacturer
Funworld, Easter Unlimited, originally began in 1959 as the S. Rosenberg Christmas Company. Sam Rosenberg started the business to achieve success before retiring, after experiencing failed startups in his adulthood. After finding success as a traveling salesman for general merchandise in the 1950s, he shifted to importing Christmas and Easter novelties and dolls from Japan.
In April 1963, Stanley Geller bought the business from his father-in-law and rebranded it as Funworld, Easter Unlimited. He established strong relationships with Japanese factories and embarked on buying trips to Japan via propeller planes. Geller also sold goods by traveling across the USA in a station wagon filled with samples, visiting cities from Minneapolis to Miami, Boston to Bentonville, and New York to New Orleans. The business flourished with the help of many individuals, and in 1981, the third generation, led by Alan Geller, propelled Fun World into the Halloween market, driving its growth.
